When the most of the core industries in India have reached a level of maturity and are standing at Cross- Roads seeking directions for the new ways of growth and development, the IT industry and the management consultancy services have come forward to bring-in the profitability and economy of the country. It is quite likely that the dramatic growth of GDP of this country is due to the breakthrough with information technology providing major support in enhancing the economy. Indian IT professionals ( both Scientists and Engineers) have a new opportunity to provide their mettle and take our country forward. However, the skills and competences are required to succeed in the continual - changing in the global IT industry.

To cater to the ever-increasing need for the quality technical education and in order to accomplish the pursuit of knowledge and pursuance of educational excellence in IT and allied technology., BIT has over the years established a few well equipped extension centers in various metro cities in India and three centers abroad. By opening these centers in selected cities the educational research expertise of the institute is accessible to a large section of youngsters in this country as well as its outside.

Having felt the urgent need of a centre for diversified and advanced educational research , consultancy and training of human resources in IT and Management technology in the Northern Zone, BIT, mesra in the year 1998 ,has established one of its extension centers at NOIDA. This is in advantageous position compared to other extension centres of BIT in terms of its location -near capital region and gateways to many IT industries at Greater Noida , Gurgaon and Delhi besides Noida itself. The curriculae of all the credit based flexible programmes are carefully reviewed, updated, upgraded, diversified and in pace with the needs of the industrial scenario of this country, with the help of BIT main campus.

This center is located in posh area of Noida,Sector -1, A-7.which is situated at the right side on the main road joining NOIDA and Delhi, adjacent to many important industrial houses like Indian Oil Corporation, Bharat Petroleum, Kribco, PDIL, GAIL etc. It is also is just 15 km away from Delhi and is very well connected with Delhi, Faridabad, Gurgaon, Gaziabad by road. There are frequent bus services of DTC and private carriers plying to this institute from all over the places of Delhi and its Suburbs , Haryana and Uttar Pradesh.

Starting with its humble beginning with a few students in BCA course, the centre is now imparting quality education to about 900 students through various academic programmes like BCA, MCA, BBA, MBA and B.Sc. (Animation & Multimedia).

The centre is well equipped with computer labs, animation & multimedia lab. & studio. The computers are connected in LAN with Internet facility. The centre also has a well equipped library and is subscribing to e-journals. It has its own auditorium to accommodate about 300 persons, for conducting seminars, workshops and other student’s activities.

The campus registers scholars for PhD. programmes in Management & Computer Science. While the centre has a strong core faculty in all the related subjects, it has the location advantage to engage guest faculty from the Industry and other academic institutions for specialized lectures. Its placement cell is very active in getting the students placed with the Industry
